" I’m writing this as a way of acknowledgement and an expression of gratitude to Dr. Gary Cook and his entire staff. From the very first moment of entering Dr. Cook’s office, I immediately felt I had entered a healing environment. My first impression only grew stronger and more resolute as I was met at the desk by a most welcoming reception. That sense of reassurance that I indeed was in the right place not only never wavered, but continued to be affirmed throughout my entire experience. I can honestly say, in all my years of inevitable dealings with the medical profession, no other experience comes close to matching the unparalleled service and kindness that was provided to me. Enough with superlatives- well maybe just not yet! I dare say that Dr. Cook and his staff’s recipe for success may be best understood by mention of some key ingredients. In the interest of alliteration I think it comes down to an exquisitely blended combination of 4 C’s… Comedy… I’ve never laughed (minus nitrous oxide) in a dentist’s chair until being the beneficiary of Dr. Cook’s easy-going cheerfulness and gentile, joking manner, and with each of Dr. Cook’s staff I encountered, I enjoyed another person’s great sense of humor. Each seemed truly happy to be going about their tasks with no hesitation whatsoever to engage in friendly banter and to laugh and make me laugh, which again I must add, in a dental office, is rare, very rare. Compassion…It was clear from the start everyone performed their jobs not only with a lot of heart, but with a rare sense of understanding the importance of treating everyone with utmost dignity, sensitivity and much appreciated empathy. " I possess a great aversion to subjecting myself to dental procedures, so generally I avoid dentist offices like the plague.  But, I knew I was getting long in the tooth and my trusted dentist referred me to Dr. Gary Cook and am I ever thankful.   I visited Dr. Cooks office for the first time for an in depth evaluation, the entire team was extremely cordial and accommodating.  During the visit Dr. Cook explained why I was a candidate for the Pinhole Technique and in great detail why I should consider this type of surgery for my receding upper gums.   Fast forward to the day of surgery...and the bottom line: Dr. Cook and his team are very, very skilled at what they do and the results speak for themselves.   I have had traditional gum grafting performed on me by another Periodontist in town, but clearly without the same result.   The art of a good surgical practitioner is that the procedure results in the desired result with little or no pain.   Dr. Gary Cook is by far a cut above (no pun intended). I had post-surgical discomfort but NO real pain.  The minor discomfort I experienced lasted maybe, at most, 24 hours.   I had my entire upper gums done on the same day, a two hour surgery on Friday morning. I was home that day and back to normal activity on Sunday.   For patients that need gum surgery and that qualify for the Pinhole Surgical Technique, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Cook, his entire team of professionals and the procedure.  My gums and I both appreciate the very capable Dr. Cook and his team!
